On February 6, 2024, New Mexico Medicaid published this state plan amendment and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approval to add mobile crisis services to consumers. Via the SPA, New Mexico Medicaid will cover mobile crisis response and crisis planning, facilitation of in-person handoffs between health care team members, referrals to ongoing supports, and follow up check-ins for individuals experiencing a mental health or addiction disorder crisis.
