Marin County plans to expand its mobile crisis care services and is talking with San Rafael and Novato officials about collaborating to improve service in their cities.
The county has received a four-year, $1.9 million state grant that can be used to expand the mobile program, which responds to mental health emergencies. Jei Africa, director of the Marin County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Division, briefed county supervisors on the coming changes during a budget workshop.
